Each attempt at running the script yielded different failed results. Such as: "mount C G:\DOS(presses enter) C" or "mount C G:\DOS(presses enter) CEND" or "mount C: G\DOSC:(presses enter)". When doing this, Autokey would write in the dosbox windows only a part of the Sendinputs. My reasoning for that sleep command is to give Dosbox enough time to properly start up before receiving commands. Note: I've tried both sendinput and send, with and without Setkeydelay, with and without Sleep 2000. I wanted a simple script which would start dosbox, mount the virtual C parition in the Dos folder on the real G partition, change directory to ascendancy (ascend~1 since dos can't read long folder names), then write ascend, in order to run ascend.exe and start the game. ![]() It might be a bug, a compatibility problem with DosBox, or it might be my own outright stupidity/missing something pretty damned important in the help file. Then again this is the original file I used way back when to get to the place where I got stuck, which was past the part that fucked up yesterday. This is a problem I've partially resolved, but I'd like to understand why autokey had problems with the first script and why it fails to run the second one once in a while. Now to hope it don't fuck up in the same spot. Then go back to D, cd to Rallo and run Rallo Then Imgmount rallobin.cue as C (imgmount c d:/rallobin/rallobin.cue -t iso)ģ. Mount the folder d:/rallobin as Drive DĢ. Imgmount c d/rallobin/rallobin.cue -t iso and run installīut both times when I selected the custom instalation to drive C/D respectively or if I used standard Install, it ALWAYS stops the instalation, saying "Unable to access disk drive B".ġ. After that it doesn't recognise it and I have no idea how to load both at once, even though I even had both the cue file and the installed folder in the same folder on D.Īlso I tried to imgmount c d/rallobin/rallobin.cue -t iso and then run install The only time it knows about it and saves to it is after imagemounting it and then installing it. I can't seem to be able to load it in a way where the image is imagemounted AND it knows about the installed rallo folder. I had it installed in the same place, but I kept running into the issue that either I ran the exe from the cue and it can't save or load saves, or I run it from the installed Rallo folder, but THEN it tells me "Your cd could not be read"/You don't have the disc in. ![]() I've got save states on this version of Dos Box but the problem is how long this game is overall, that might be an issue. It creates save files technically, but they appear to not be possible to load. If I input "r/rallo/rallo", or most anything I can think of it tells me "unable to make new directory".Īnd when did manage to get the instalation going along a bit further by not putting in any subdirectory and pressing enter it told me it couldn't access the output file MIDPAK.AD, even though that file is located in r:/ralloĮdit: I managed to successfully instal via creating an iso and running the instal then, but the process of mounting it in Dosbox is kind of cumbersome and the internal save function doesn't seem to work. It tells me to "specify the disk destination subdirectory" When I run the "install", it asks me to select a drive. ![]() I uninstalled the old Daemon Tools as it wasn't working and downloaded WinCDEmu.Įvery time I mount it and go to rallo/rallo it says "can't access cd-rom". Been trying to get Rallo Gump running again.
